The filter press industry is beginning to move towards standardized development

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the General Administration of Market Supervision (GAMS) jointly issued the “Technical Specification and Quality Evaluation Standard for Filter Press Industry” (hereinafter referred to as the “new standard”), which is regarded as an important milestone for the development of China's filter press industry towards standardization and specialization. As a core category in the field of environmental protection equipment, filter presses have a wide range of applications in the mining industry, chemical industry, sewage treatment and other fields. The introduction of the new standard not only fills the gap of industry regulation, but also prompts enterprises to upgrade their technology and promote the industry to realize the leap from “quantitative change” to “qualitative change”.

The release of the new standard to “green, intelligent, efficient” as a guide, focusing on filter press filtration efficiency, energy consumption indicators and material safety put forward clear quantitative requirements. For example, the standard specifies the upper limit of energy consumption per unit of processing capacity, and stipulates that the filter plate material must meet the environmental protection and non-toxicity standards. In addition, the standard for the first time the intelligent control system into the evaluation system, requiring equipment with remote monitoring, fault warning and other digital functions. With the increasingly stringent environmental protection inspections and the sharp increase in demand for industrial wastewater treatment, it is expected that by 2025, the domestic filter press market size will exceed 80 billion yuan. The implementation of the new standards will further stimulate the demand for high-end equipment, especially in the preparation of lithium battery materials, biopharmaceuticals and other emerging areas, high-precision, fully automatic filter press market penetration is expected to increase to more than 60%.

It can be predicted that the filter press industry is ushering in the golden period of structural optimization under the dual drive of policy regulation and market demand.
