The hydraulic system of the filter press is the power source of the filter press to realize the core action of plate pressing and loosening, and its performance directly affects the efficiency of the filter press, filtration effect and equipment life. The following is a detailed introduction to the system composition, working principle, key components, common failures and maintenance: 

Core functions of the hydraulic system 

The hydraulic system of the filter press mainly accomplishes two key actions: 

1.Plate pressing: the hydraulic power pushes the pressing plate, which squeezes the plates tightly together to form an airtight filtering chamber, preventing leakage of the material in the filtration process.

2.Loosening of the filter plate: after the completion of filtration, the hydraulic system reverses the action, driving the pressure plate back, so that the filter plate is separated, which is convenient for discharging the filter cake.

Second, the principle of operation (in the case of automatic filter press) 

1.pressing process: 

motor driven hydraulic pump start, hydraulic oil through the filter into the pump body, pressurized output of high-pressure oil.

High-pressure oil enters the rodless cavity of the hydraulic cylinder through the reversing valve (such as electromagnetic reversing valve), pushing the piston rod to extend and drive the pressing plate to move in the direction of the filter plate.

When the filter plate is pressed to the set pressure (controlled by the pressure relay or relief valve), the system retains pressure, and then begins to feed filtration.

2.Loosening process: 

After the filtration is completed, the reversing valve switches the direction, the high-pressure oil enters the rod chamber of the hydraulic cylinder, the piston rod retracts, driving the pressing plate backward, and the filter plate is loosened.

If it is an automatic pulling plate filter press, the hydraulic system will also cooperate with the pulling plate mechanism to realize the pulling away of the filter plate one by one to unload the cake.

3.Pressure maintaining function: 

During the filtration process, if the system pressure drops due to leakage or other reasons, the pressure relay will trigger the hydraulic pump to start again to replenish the pressure to the set value to ensure that the filter plates are always tightly fitted.
